How to use
Can be easily added to your diet
- A new low-carb, high-fiber, gluten-free alternative to wheat and other grain flours for baking and cooking
- Can be used to make breads, cakes, pies, desserts, cookies, pancakes, waffles, and other baked goods
- Gives baked goods a natural sweetness with a rich texture.
- Substitute coconut flour for 15-25% of other flours in most recipes, adding an equivalent amount of liquid to the recipe
- Use 100% in place of other flours simply by adding eggs (average one egg per 25g of coconut flour)
- Mix a tablespoon into smoothies, coffee, tea, fruit drinks, cereal, vegetables, or other foods for a healthy dose of dietary fibre.
Because its gluten free it therefore:
- Requires eggs to form the binding property of the mix which in turn
- Results in a highly nutrient dense mixture of high value fats, fibre, carbs and protein
Can be used as an additive to other flours or by itself as a 100% mix
- Increasing the ratio of coconut flour relative to other flours decreases the Glycaemic Index (GI) i.e. the more coconut flour used, the lower the GI of the dish
